Asbestos jobs are still possible to find. While in the early 1940's there were many lax rules on the methods of using asbestos, today the product is used safely in most industries. The United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, limits the amount of exposure to asbestos material allowable in a place of employment. Acceptable levels are required in the workplace, but there are other regulations as well, including the use of protective equipment for the personal individual to ensure there is a lower risk of exposure. Some states and other agencies further limit the use of asbestos in industries. These laws are required to be followed by all investors, businesses and other organizations.
