Asbestos management is a comprehensive method of dealing with asbestos material in any commercial, school, church or other public building in which there is evidence or the belief that asbestos materials have been used in the building. Under an asbestos management plan, safety measures are taken on a regular basis to protect anyone that could come into contact with the asbestos material to be protected from it. Should a construction project be required, appropriate steps are taken to manage the asbestos material without the risk of exposure to others. Some states require asbestos management methods to be in place in any building that could have asbestos in it.
