Asbestos Products

Asbestos products are those that have asbestos material in them or that have been covered with asbestos dust. Asbestos is a type of fiber that is naturally mined from the Earth. During its manufacturing, it is formed into a very fine dust, which, if inhaled into the respiratory system can lead to the development of mesothelioma and other types of lung cancer and lung diseases. The products were used heavily in the early portion of the 1900's until laws limited exposure and use of these products. The most common industries in which asbestos products were used were automotive repair, construction, pipefitting, boiler making and in the laundering of asbestos contaminated clothing.
