Asbestos settlement is a term used to describe the monetary or otherwise agreement that has been reached between an asbestos exposure victim and the organization that allowed the exposure to occur. One of the most common settlement types are those that occur in an employment situation, in which an employer failed to protect employees from over exposure to asbestos. Over time, asbestos leads to mesothelioma, a rare form of malignant cancer that is very deadly.
